The clients were beyond the child-rearing years and ready to transform their property into an entertaining masterpiece. The basketball court was traded for a dimensional-cut flagstone patio with a gazebo and water feature for sound. Next to the patio, the space was terraced to create a full-size bocce ball court with posts for string lights. The lawn was reduced to an area right off the main living space where the dogs could run and play. A raised garden area was installed with a gate to keep the bunnies out of the veggies. Existing flagstone pieces were reused for a step-stone and gravel path that meanders through the landscape to a yoga deck nestled in the Oak trees. Fruit trees were also planted to create a small orchard and help screen the neighbors.
