Whitney Avenue

The clients wanted more usable space in their small sloped backyard. The old railroad tie steps were uneven tripping hazards, and the retaining wall was failing. They wanted a patio space for an outdoor kitchen, along with an upper seating area to capture the view. We envisioned new CMU retaining walls with a clean, bright stucco finish and used lighter flagstone to brighten the shady area. The outdoor kitchen includes a grill and Italian pizza oven, finished with cedar for lasting beauty and longevity. Shade-tolerant plants add structure to the landscape, and a new fence completes the perimeter.
