Pride Lane

The clients had experienced major drainage issues around their house, so managing the stormwater was a high priority of this project. They were looking for a rustic mountain aesthetic and open space for their son and pets to play. We envisioned a large backyard lawn area with ample room for kicking a soccer ball, a basketball court, and a playground space complete with play boulders. The existing patio was enlarged to include a tiki bar for entertaining and a fire pit area was added as a destination gathering space. A hot tub and patio area were positioned for easy access off the primary suite and provided views of the backyard. Downspout stormwater flows were directed into functional dry creeks for infiltration. The front yard included a boulder retaining wall lining a functional dry creek allowing proper grading at the front of the home, a berm for visual interest, and lawn space for added curb appeal. A french drain and dry well rounded out the stormwater management features.
